For example, Armand is a 500-year-old vampire who was turned by another vampire named Marius. He has seen a lot of death and violence in his life and as a result, he is quite distant from others.

Whereas Claudia was only turned into a vampire at the age of six. But has the mindset of someone much older due to the fact that she’s been around vampires her entire life. This makes for an interesting dynamic between her and the other characters who are all much older than her.
