Hutchin Hill Capital To Lay Off 121 Employees In New York

Hutchin Hill Capital, LP filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the New York State Department of Labor on November 30. The notice indicates the firm will lay off 121 employees at its New York office on Seventh Avenue.

Business Closing

Hedge fund manager Neil Chriss announced Thursday he would close his $2.2 billion firm Hutchin Hill Capital LP after three years of poor performance. In the January-November period, the firm lost about 5.5 percent.

Employee separation will occur on February 28, 2018, according to the filing.
