Human remains have been found down an embankment along Interstate 695 in Anne Arundel County, according to a Maryland State Police news release.
A driver stopped in the inner loop ramp of I-695 to Route 10 south discovered the remains at approximately 4:30 p.m. Friday and called 911. Troopers from the Glen Burnie Barrack confirmed the skeletal remains were human.
An investigation revealed that the remains were clothed, but the race, gender and identity were not immediately available. No identification was found near or with the remains, according to the news release.
The remains were taken to the Medical Examiner’s office in Baltimore for an autopsy.
