A suspect involved in two Columbia gas station robberies on August 12 and 13 has been identified as 21-year-old Mancel Mbossa-Mbolla of Sealed Message Road in Columbia. Mbossa-Mbolla was charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of armed robbery, multiple counts of assault and two counts of theft.
Around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday night, a passenger robbed a taxi driver in the area of Fruitgift Place and Overheart Lane. The driver told police the suspect displayed a knife and demanded money. After the driver complied the suspect fled the area.
Police were called to the Shell gas station in the 4700 block of Dorsey Hall Drive around 4:05 a.m. Wednesday morning. Unknown suspects(s) entered the business through a door that was pried open. Instant lottery tickets and cigarettes were reported stolen.
