Howard County Police Investigating Armed Robber In Columbia


Howard County Police say two suspects robbed an adult female and male at gunpoint in Columbia Wednesday morning.

Approximately 9:06 a.m., police responded to the 10400 block of Swift Stream Place to investigate an armed robbery. At the scene, the officers met with two adults who said they opened their front door to two suspects who had their faces partially covered. The suspects forced their way into the home and brandished handguns.

Accident Scene

The victims were tied up, while the suspects searched for valuables. Watches, keys, cell phones and cash were stolen during the robbery.

The suspects were described as males in their 20s, between five-foot 10-inches to 6-foot tall, wearing dark clothing.

Detectives are investigating to determine if the incident was drug-related, according to the report.
