Howard County Police Investigating A Fatal Collision In Clarksville


Howard County Police said a fatal collision took place on Route 32 in Clarksville Monday morning.

Approximately 8 a.m., officers were dispatched to Route 32 to investigate a collision. A 2015 Kia Forte traveling northbound on Route 32 crossed the double yellow line and struck a 2014 Mack semi-truck traveling in the southbound direction. Police do not know what the Kia crossed the double yellow line.


The driver of the Kia was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Route 32 remains closed in both directions between Route 108 and Linden Church Road.

Update: Howard County Police have identified man involved in the Clarksville collision as 31-year-old Barry Martin Eastman of Ellicott City. The driver of the Mack truck was identified as 53-year-old Ira Goldberg of Frederick.

Route 32 has fully reopened.
