Howard County Police Announce Death Of Shooting Victim


On Monday, the Howard County Police Department announced that a shooting victim had been pronounced dead at the hospital overnight. The Howard County Police will continue investigating the fatal shooting, which occurred last night in Columbia. The department is pleading with anyone with information to come forward.

Officers with the Howard County Police Department were dispatched to the 5500 block of Harpers Farm Road at roughly 10:20 p.m. Sunday, after receiving a report of an adult male with a gunshot wound. Multiple callers notified authorities that they had heard a single gunshot in the neighborhood. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

Violent Weekend In Baltimore

Twenty-five-year-old Meiko Anthony Locksley of Grand Banks Road was rushed to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. He was pronounced dead overnight. At this point in time, police have no information about a potential suspect or a motive for the crime. Investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward.
