Is your family ready to accept a new pet in their home? If so, have you ever considered, where you are going to adopt it from? Of course, this is a question that you have pondered at least once. Well, did you know that the Prince George’s County Animal Services Facility has all sorts of pets that are ready for adoption? Many individuals think that they must purchase a puppy from a breeder, in order for it to grow up to be intelligent, brave, and healthy. This is a huge misconception, because rescues have their own personality and they are extremely loyal to their master.
When shopping for a new pet, you should begin at the Animal Services Facility. You can actually visit the facility in person, during the business hours or visit the SPCA/Humane Society or Animal Services Facility website (see physical addresses and links below). By adopting one of these pets, you will be helping to decrease pet overpopulation and prevent animal neglect.Once you talk it over with your family and come to an informal decision, you will need to initiate the application process. You can obtain the adoption application online (see link below), print it off, and then take it into one of the above adoption facilities. The approval process may take anywhere from 3-5 business days, but this will give you adequate time to get your home and family prepared for the new arrival.
