House Of The Dragon: A Game of Thrones Spin-off
It is not easy to find a perfect spin-off for Game of Thrones. But HBO has done it. House of the Dragon is an upcoming American fantasy drama television series. It is created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan J. Condal for HBO. It is set before the events of Game of Thrones and chronicles the beginning of the end for House Targaryen.
Firstly, the fans of Game of Thrones will be most delighted to hear the show. In addition, the teaser of the show has gathered a huge number of fans already. The first season of House of the Dragon will be aired in 2022 with its pilot episode.
Release Date of the House of the Dragon Series
The prequel to Game of Thrones is all set to release on January 1, 2022. However, the show will serve as an adaption from the book “Fire and Blood” which was authored by George R. R. Martin.
Nevertheless, as the name suggests, House of the Dragons will spin around the Targaryen Family.

The Storyline
The story of the series will be set 300 years back from the events of Game of Thrones. It will feature all the details along with the origin and end of the reign of House Targaryen.
The theme of the series will also cover Dance of the Dragons or the Targaryen civil war which was fought between Aegon II and Rhaenyra.
The story of the series will be set in Valyria, before its fall. The showrunners have confirmed that all characters from Game of Thrones will not appear in House of the Dragon but it will feature a wide range of new characters who were never seen earlier on the screen.
The First Season will have 10 Episodes
As of now, we only know the details about the first season. But, there are many possibilities for the show to run longer than just one season.
The first season of House of the Dragons is scheduled to air on HBO in 2022 beginning from January 1.
It is confirmed that the series will have 10 episodes. We are yet to know the amount of time each episode will have.
The showrunners, George R.R Martin and Ryan J Condal revealed in a statement that they are working hard on the scripts for all ten episodes so as to make them absolutely perfect before it goes into production. They also stated that there is no way they would want to disappoint their fans.
