Harford County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Nonfatal Shooting In Edgewood


Harford County, Maryland – A 16 year old teen is recovering from a gunshot wound on Tuesday afternoon in Edgewood.

At approximately 3:12 p.m., deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to Harford Square Drive and C Court for the report of victim with a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, deputies located a juvenile male victim, outside in the area, suffering from a shot to his foot.

Accident Scene

Deputies began treating the teen for his injuries until medics transported him to Johns Hopkins Bayview in stable condition.

At that time, detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division were requested to assume the investigation. Investigators from the Forensic Services Unit responded to document the scene and collect evidence.

While the investigation remains active and ongoing, detectives believe this is an isolated incident and have not uncovered any evidence to support early rumors that this was a drive by shooting. There are no further details being released at this time.
