Hampton Man Gets 32-Year Prison Sentence For Cocaine Distribution


U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Dana J. Boente announced Tuesday a man from Hampton, Virginia has been sentenced to 32 years in prison for conspiring to deal over five kilograms of cocaine and discharging a firearm during the commission of a drug trafficking felony.

PrisonThirty-three-year-old Andre Monroe and his co-conspirators distributed and trafficked more than 12 kilograms of cocaine from North Carolina and Maryland into the Tidewater area, where it was distributed for over a two year period. Monroe hit and shot a customer in the leg in June 2016, according to court documents.
