Greatbatch To Lay Off 59 Employees In New York


Greatbatch, LTD filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the New York State Department of Health on October 16. The notice indicates the company will close its Clarence facility and lay off 59 employees.

Business Closing

Greatbatch, doing business as Greatbatch Medical, produces technologies utilized in medical procedures and devices. The New York-based company offers neuromodulation products and cardiac rhythm management.

Employees impacted by the closure are not represented by a union. The separate date is scheduled for January 14, 2018. The Greatbatch facility at 4096 Barton Road in Clarence is expected to close on April 10, 2018, according to the filing.
