Frederick Police Arrest Two Hispanic Men In connection With Rape Of High School Student


Frederick Police Department announces the arrest of a 17-year-old male and 19-year-old male for the alleged rape of a female high school student.

Approximately 9:30 a.m. September 5, police responded to a reported rape in Hillcrest. The victim told police three Hispanic males grabbed her from behind, when she opened the door of her residence 12:30 a.m. September 2. She said the suspects hit her, pulled her hair, took her to a vehicle and transported her to an apartment, according to the news release.Edgar Chicas-Hernandez

The victim said she was held captive in the apartment for several hours. One of the suspects filmed her being raped by the other two suspects, identified as 19-year-old Victor Gonzalez Gutierres and 17-year-old Edgar Chicas-Hernandez, both classmates of the victim. The third suspect could not be identified, because he had his face covered.

The victim was threatened prior to her release and afterwards through social media, if she went to the authorities.

Police arrested Chicas-Hernandez on September 12 and Gonzalez Gutierres on September 13.

The Daily Mail reports that a 13-year-old classmate of the victim orchestrated the rape.
