Former Soldier Gets 12 Years For Production Of Child Pornography

This week it was announced that 22-year-old Frank Crawford III formerly of Virginia had been sentenced to 12 years in prison and 10 years of supervised release. Crawford was sentenced for receipt of child pornography in which he enticed a minor victim to send him sexually explicit photographs of herself. After being released from prison, Crawford will be required to register as a sex offender.

According to the plea agreement, over a period of four to five days, Crawford had sexualized discussions with a 14-year-old girl from Maryland. On May 4, 2017, Crawford convinced the 14-year-old to send him sexually explicit photos of herself. The defendant admitted that he and the victim used a live chat service to engage in sexually explicit conduct. He also admitted to knowing that the victim was a minor.
