Former Pennsylvania Police Pleads Guilty To Theft Of Government Funds


Acting U.S. Attorney Soo C. Song announced Thursday a former Harrisburg police official pleaded guilty to theft from government-funded programs and conversion of government property.

Forty-five-year-old Sean D. Cornick, corporal of the Harrisburg Police Department’s Organized Crime and Vice Unit, stole $22,346.93 and $400 in government funds between October 2015 and October 2016, according to court documents.

Cornick faces a maximum sentence of 11 years in prison and/or $350,000 fine. A presentence conference is scheduled for January 29, 2018.
