Former Baltimore Police Crime Lab Technician Admits To Heroin Possession


The Baltimore Police Department executed a search warrant of resident in the 1600 block of Ashburton Street on November 2016. The search recovered paraphernalia, controlled dangerous substances, a gel cap machine, $156,000 and two handguns, one of which had been reported stolen.

Judge And JuryTwo vehicles at the scene were also searched. Police recovered 125 gel caps of heroin. Timika Jones, a Crime Lab Technician for the Baltimore Police Department, had rented one of the vehicles, according to the plea agreement.

Jones pleaded guilty Thursday to possession of heroin with the intent to distribute. After the court imposed a sentence of five years suspended sentence with three years probation, Jones submitted her resignation.
