Everything We Know So Far About Yellowstone Season 4

Yellowstone season 4 is finally almost here! We have been waiting for what feels like an eternity, and we are so excited to see how the story ends.  They have a whole new set of characters to get to know. If Yellowstone season four is anything like the previous seasons, then we are in for an epic ride!

The Initial Thoughts:

Yellowstone has always been one of those shows that I only watched if it was on TV and nothing else good was on at the time. It’s not so much my type of show, but I am excited because this season will be their final episode ever! Season three left me with a lot of questions, which means they either need to make up some answers or let us down slowly by releasing each episode weekly (and making sure there aren’t any cliffhangers). With Yellowstone being renewed through 2020 – 2021, we can expect another nine episodes coming out next year as season four.

Before Yellowstone aired the third season, I wasn’t planning on watching it and thought that the last episode would be a little disappointing for all of us fans who have been following this show since its release in July 2015.

However, after seeing what they did with season three, I’m now looking forward to their final moments! The Yellowstone cast will get an epic exit before we are left wondering about those cliffhangers from season three (or missing Michael Sheen’s character). We’re not waiting long though, as Yellowstone season four is set to air next year in 2020.

It sounds like Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan has already started writing Season Four which means that there won’t be any time lost between seasons. It makes me think about how Yellowstone season three was a raw, unflinching look at human nature and the darkest parts of humanity. Season four might be even darker than that!

One thing I do know is that Yellowstone will always be my cancellation bait.

After Yellowstone season three, I was convinced that this series would never be canceled. But then news broke of Yellowstone Season Four is in the works, and I felt like they were going to cancel it anyway so why not just end with a bang?

Yellowstone is one of those shows that deserves every ounce of praise it has received because although the ratings are low (only around 300K people watched each week) you don’t need millions watching when the story is as good as Yellowstone’s!

Is season 4 the last season?

So far, no additional seasons have been announced for Yellowstone, but there also hasn’t been any indication that season 4 will be it’s last. Considering that the show continues to pull in big ratings for Paramount Network, it would hardly be surprising to see it continue for several seasons to come.
