About the Movie:

The Enola Holmes is a series of books that are written by Nancy Springer. Enola is the younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes. Enola has traveled all over the world and solved cases no one else could solve. She’s also had to deal with her share of danger on top of it all!

The 1st part of Enola Holmes is based on the novel “The Case of the Missing Marquess”. The movie is set in 1884 and has its own fun, adventure, and twists. The series is set in Victorian-era England.

The Plot of the movie:

If you are here looking for Part 2 of the Enola Holmes Series, you probably have watched the first part. If not, this post might contain spoilers if not careful so read at your own risk.

Enola Holmes is a stunning and intelligent young woman, who longs for an independent life. On one of her birthdays, Enola’s mother Eudoria Holmes went missing. Enola has never seen or heard from her mother since then. With no explanation been given by her mother before leaving, her brothers come back to Enola.

Enola’s brothers Sherlock and Mycroft make her go to a school. Where Enola is not allowed to go outside or have any contact with the outside world. She is sent to be a fine lady of the going Era, just as every other lady and woman in that particular period. In school, Enola gets to meet the first authority teacher Miss Harrison, who is unmarried.

With the newly unwilling change that occurred in Enola’s life, she is always curious about her mother’s whereabouts, and so Enola decides to go find out what happened.

This story is about a girl living in the Victorian Era at a time where women are expected to be submissive and quiet. Enola’s mom Eudoria made her promise that she would never show any emotion or do anything out of what was considered normal for women during this period. Enola has many adventures with Tewkesbury -a man who moves into town-during her childhood but when they go looking for clues on why their mother left them as children, Enola begins to notice how unfair it all is for women during that particular era.

The cliffhanger of Enola Holmes:

With all the in-between adventures alone or with Tewkesbury, at the end of the movie Enola does find her mother. Eudoria then confesses that she did not leave her because she doesn’t love but because she wanted to protect and always wanted what is good for her daughter.

Later Enola does not go back to her brothers and goes on her adventure of solving. The Movie lefts us on this cliffhanger that what will happen next and how the journey will go ahead with Enola living on her own without her brother’s guidance.

Enola Holmes 2 Release Date & Spoilers:

While there is no official announcement of date by Netflix as to when will be the Part 2 of the movie will be set out and that there is no news about renewed status and spoilers currently. But while we know what is the ending cliffhanger of the movie is, there is some certain question that raises. Can Enola remain undetected while solving crimes? And what about Sherlock and Mycroft while their sister is off grounds seeking and leading her own new life?

Where fans like to see more chemistry between Enola and Tewkesbury, there is no further plot of the boy in the second book of the Enola Series i.e., “The Case of the Left-Handed Lady”. So there are some 50-50 chances for the man to show up and the next part.

As Netflix is not new to releasing seasons of many ongoing movies and series, there is a total possibility of part 2 coming by 2022 or 2023. Due to the pandemic, it might be trouble to schedule a shooting with lots of cast and crew members.

With a crew of various actors including Millie Bobby Brown (Enola Holmes) who plays her lead role in Stranger Things as Eleven. And Henry Cavill’s (Sherlock Holmes) much-anticipated series Witcher is about to premiere this year on 17th December officially declared by Netflix.
