Doctor Strange 2: Release Date, Cast, Plot And Much More
Marvel’s Doctor Strange is back with Doctor Strange 2, and we have all the details you need to know. Doctor Strange 2 has a seriously cool title – Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – but other details are being kept as hidden as the Time Stone (well, apart from when he gave it to Thanos).
The sequel was announced back at Comic-Con in 2019 and it’s had some release date delays, down to a change in director (Scott Derrickson to Sam Raimi, with Loki’s Michael Waldron taking over as writer) and the other delays that have affected every movie around.
The Release of Doctor Strange 2:
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was originally set for a May 7, 2021 release, but with everything going on in the world, plans had to change and it’s now settled on a March 25, 2022, release.
Doctor Strange’s alternate reality stories and time travel shenanigans are sure to have some sort of connection with what the superheroes need to do at this critical point in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Trailer of Doctor Strange 2:
Marvel has been confirmed to be skipping the virtual Comic-Con this year, so we’ll be waiting a while yet for the first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
It could well be that it lands with Shang-Chi’s release in September or Eternals in November, but right now, we just don’t know. We’ll keep this page updated with all the latest details though so when we know, you’ll know.

The Doctor Strange sequel is set to explore the Multiverse, which will likely tie into Doctor Strange’s time-traveling adventures.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building up towards this moment ever since Thanos’ snap in Avengers Infinity War severely diminished Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Doctor Strange returned from the dead in Doctor Strange: Damnation, but there’s been no word on Doctor Strange season two until now.
Doctor Strange has always had a deep connection to time travel and alternate realities (just ask Billy Batson), so it was only a matter of time before we got Doctor Strange Season Two following his adventures with The Ancient One.
Benedict Cumberbatch is returning as Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange for the sequel that will explore more of the Multiverse and introduce new characters who could show up in future Marvel movies down the line!
The Storyline of Doctor Strange 2:
The Doctor Strange sequel is currently in pre-production.
We don’t know much about the Doctor Strange Season Two plot just yet, but it’s been confirmed that the film will be set between Doctor Strange and Doctor Strange Undying.
As such, we can expect to see Stephen following his adventures with The Ancient One since he has not succumbed to death on Earth as of this point in time – hence why he continues investigating alternate realities!

It’s also worth noting that the star already confirmed that Doctor Who will be set between Doctor Strange and Dr. Stranger Undying – which means there are plenty more films for us to look forward too!
