Discount Grocer Aldi Will Hire 150 People At Several Of Its Baltimore-Based Stores


Aldi, a German-based leading discount supermarket chain, opened a new location in Bel Air on Thursday. The retailer is dedicated to supporting growth in the Baltimore area and will start by hiring 150 people for stores in Elkton, Dundalk, Towson and Randallstown.

Store associates position start out at $12 an hour and will increase accordingly. The grocery chain will hold job fairs at the stores on Tuesday and Thursday.


Aldi Opens In Bel Air

All job candidates must be 18 years of age, possess either a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift at least 45 pounds and be available to work Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

In the retail industry, benefits and wages offered by Aldi are slightly higher than the national average, the retailer says.
