After numerous incidents occurred at the Greenmount Mini Market (Purple Store Deli & Grocery), Commissioner Kevin Davis ordered the business to be padlocked.
Baltimore Police executed a search warrant at the business on February 17. Officers recovered scales, currency related drug sales, “spice” and marijuana.
Another search warrant was issued on April 1 at the business. This time officers recovered, currency and scales related to drug sales, drugs, “spice” and marijuana. Two arrests were made following the search.
Officers were dispatched to the business on July 16 to investigate a reported armed robbery. Preliminary investigation revealed a shooting had taken place at the business. Further investigation revealed the lessees had been involved in a violent confrontation with others involving a machete, pole and handgun.
In accordance with Baltimore City Code Article 19, Section 43-3 (a), Davis ordered the Greenmount Mini Market at 1909 Greenmount Avenue in Baltimore padlocked on Monday.
