Collision At Harpers Farm Road Leaves Child In Critical Condition


Howard County Police Department received a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision at Harpers Farm Road around 2 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult and a 6-year-old child had been struck by a vehicle. Both victims were transported to Howard County General Hospital for evaluation.

The adult was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The child was listed in critical condition. No other injuries were reported, according to the report. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.

Harpers Farm Road at Twin Rivers Road has been reopened.
