The Complete Season Three is a fantastic anime series that has been praised by fans and critics alike. It features the adventures of Lelouch Lamperouge, who code geasses to get what he wants. Release Date Season 3 of Code Geass is yet to be confirmed. However, a new anime, Code Geass: Z of the Recapture, has been announced. The new anime will most likely be a movie.
Season 3 will most likely release in the Fall of 2022 or Winter of 2023. The movies of Code Geass follow an alternative timeline as compared to the T.V. series. Z of the Recapture will continue the story after the last movie, Fukkatsu No Lelouch, so a third season is unlikely, at least until 2022.
What to Expect From Season 3?
In Season 2, one year had passed since the Black Rebellion. Zero went missing after the uprising failed, and Area 11 becomes too powerless against the Empire.
Lelouch lost all the memories of his life as Zero and lives peacefully as an Ashford Academy student. C.C., his ex-partner in crime, takes it upon herself to remind Lelouch of his heroic past, hoping that Zero would return again and resume the rebellion that he started.
The movie franchise, however, is an alternate reality to the series. In the last movie, C.C.’s mission is to resurrect Zero, the greatest revolutionary in history, to save the world from peril.

Lelouch Lamperouge: The main protagonist of the series, Lelouch is an exiled Britannian prince living in Japan. An excellent thinker, Lelouch finds his allegiance tested when the Holy Britannian Empire invades Japan. Inspired by his hatred for his father, the Britannian Emperor, Lelouch alters his name also grows up in Japan, and finally creates a resistance movement when he gains the energy called Geass. He becomes a radical messiah seeking to spare the people of Japan in the tyrannical clutches of this Britannian empire.
Suzaku Kururugi: Another major character in the series, Suzaku is Lelouch’s childhood friend and the son of the last prime minister of Japan. Despite switching sides, Suzaku shows a strong sense of justice and tries to implement innovative changes within the Britannian empire. When he reunites with Lelouch afterward, Suzaku admits that the Britannian empire isn’t worth serving. But when Lelouch’s rebellion results in the death of their love of his life, Suzaku promises to kill Lelouch. In the last episode of Season 2, Lelouch asks Suzaku to kill him and take on the identity of Zero.
