Care Ambulance To Close Indianapolis Facility, Lay Off 82 Employees


Care Ambulance filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development on December 4. The notice indicates the company will close its facility at 1202 West 16th Street in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Employee separations will take place on February 2, 2018. Since this is a facility closure, the affected workers do not have bumping rights. The lay off is expected to be permanent, according to the filing.

Procarent, held by Interlock Industries, is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky and employs more than 1,000 workers in three states, including Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri.
