Bayshore Concrete Products filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the Virginia Board of Workforce Development on September 26. The notice indicates that the company will lay off 100 employees at its Cape Charles, Virginia facility.
Bayshore Concrete Products manufactures docks, piers and spuncast poles and piles. The company serves rail, general building, bridges, water pollution control plants, roadways and power, as well as healthcare, education and life sciences.
Iron Workers Union represents 100 percent of the workers at the plant. The plant is located at 1134 Bayshore Road in Cape Charles. The employees impacted by the layoff will be let go on November 17.
