Baltimore Police Investigating Multiple Shootings On August 20th And 21st


On August 20, 2018 at roughly 5:25 PM, Baltimore officers received a ShotSpotter alert in the area of the 700 block of Mello Court. Officers arrived at the scheme within seconds. They chased several suspects on foot. The officers stopped a vehicle containing a potential suspect and recovered a handgun. The 23-year-old shooting victim suffered from gunshot wounds to his body. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

On August 20, 2018 at approximately 6:35, officers were approached by a woman who reported that someone had just shot at her car. The woman was not injured. A short time later, officers were dispatched to an area hospital after receiving a report of a walk-in shooting. Upon their arrival, officers found a 27-year-old man being treated by staff for a gunshot wound to the hand.

Investigators now believe that the man and woman were inside of a vehicle in the 200 block of North Eutaw Street when someone shot at them. On August 21, 2018 at 1:17 AM, officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Biddison Lane to investigate a possible shooting. When they arrived, they discovered a 46-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Citywide Shooting detectives arrived and took over the investigation.
