Baltimore Police Investigating Hit And Run In The Central District


Baltimore Police say a 71-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle in the Central District. The operator of the vehicle left the scene, before officers arrived.

Approximately 10:30 a.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to the unit block of West Lombard Street to investigate a pedestrian collision. At the scene, the responding officers located an elderly female suffering from numerous injuries.

Accident Scene

Preliminary investigation revealed the 72-year-old woman attempted to cross the street, when she was struck by a Nissan Sentra. Witnesses told the officers that the Nissan only briefly stopped after the collision and continued traveling westbound on Lombard Street.

The female was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of her injuries is not known at this time.

The Nissan had a Maryland tag of 3DC2676 and was last seen on Lombard Street.
