Baltimore Police Investigating Fatal Shooting In Northeast District


Baltimore Police say a 26-year-old old man was fatally shot Monday night in the Northeast District.

Approximately 8 p.m., police responded to the 5400 block of Bucknell Road to investigate a reported shooting. Upon arrival, the responding officers located a 26-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.

Medics arriving to the scene transported the man to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

About the same time, police in the Northwest District were investigating a shooting in the 3500 block of Woodland Avenue. A 53-year-old female was shot in the leg. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Detectives believe the victim was inside a residence when she was shot. No further details are available at this time.
