Baltimore Police Investigating Fatal Collision In The Northeast District


Baltimore Police say an adult female was fatally injured in a collision that took place early Saturday morning.

Approximately 2 a.m., police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Belair Road to investigate a fatal collision. At the scene, the responding officers observed a 2002 Kia Sorento with front-end damage.

Preliminary investigation determined the Kia Sorento was traveling northbound on Belair Road, when for unknown reasons the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the rear of a parked flatbed tow truck, according to the report.

Following the crash, the driver of the Koa Sorento exited the vehicle and fled the scene. The 27-year-old female passenger of the Kia Sorento was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.
