Baltimore Police Identity Suspect In Thursday Shooting


Baltimore Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue around 10:04 a.m. Thursday. At the scene, the responding officers located a 28-year-old man who had been shot in the leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police identified the suspect as Hykeem Lemon, 26, of the unit block of Bentlou Street. Lemon was apprehended Thursday in the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue without incident.

Police believe the shooting stemmed from a drug dispute. Lemon was charged with first-degree attempted murder, police said.
