Baltimore Police Identify Victim In Pedestrian Hit And Run

Approximately 5:14 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the 2300 block of Bel Air Road to investigate a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. At the scene, officers located a 72-year-old female suffering from multiple injuries to the body.

The vehicle that hit the victim did not remain at the scene. Medics transported the victim who has been identified as Doris Ann Blockmon to the hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

Preliminary investigation revealed Blockmon was crossing the street, when an SUV struck her. The vehicle was described as a light colored Honda Passport, which is believed to have sustained front-end damage during the incident, according to the report.
