Baltimore Police Identify Suspect In Westfield Avenue Homicide


Baltimore, Maryland – On June 18, 2018, homicide detectives and trainees from the Baltimore Police Academy will be at the Eastern Landfill in Baltimore County searching for additional evidence related to a murder investigation.

Christopher RatherOn June 12, 2018, at approximately 11:15am, officers were called to the rear of the 2400 block of Westfield Avenue for a report of an unconscious person. When officers arrived, they found 20-year old Jasmine Morris deceased at that location. An autopsy was conducted the following day and the death was ruled a homicide.

During the course of their investigation, detectives identified 22-year old Christopher Rather as the suspect in this case. Rather was arrested on June 14, 2018 and transported to the Central Booking and Intake Facility.
