Baltimore Police Identify Suspect In Western District Shooting


Baltimore Police responded to the 2100 block of Whittier Avenue Thursday afternoon to investigate a family disturbance. At the scene, the responding officers observed a male suspect shooting a man.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the left thigh.

The suspect fled the area and was apprehended a short time later. Police confiscated a .22 caliber pistol, which was utilized in the shooting, police said.

Police identified the victim as a 26-year-old man and the suspect as Lamar Foy, 23, of the 2300 block of Kofo Lane. Foy has been charged with first-degree attempted murder.
