Baltimore Police Identify Suspect In Northeast District Fatal Shooting


Approximately 2:07 p.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to the 5500 block of Summerfield Avenue to investigate a report of an unresponsive male. At the scene, the responding officers found a 68-year-old man who had been shot in the face.

Medics dispatched to the scene pronounced the victim deceased. Police later identified the man as Robert Breen, 68, of the 5500 block of Summerfield Avenue.

Baltimore Murder SuspectThe preliminary investigation revealed that Breen was involved in a dispute with a man he did not know right before he was shot. Joseph Masilek is wanted in connection with Breen’s murder.

Police have not been able to locate Masilek and are reaching out to the public for help in locating him. Anyone with information is urged to contact Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP or 911.

Update: Joseph Masilek was located deceased in Anne Arundel County.
