Baltimore Police Identify Suspect In Herring Court Shooting

Baltimore police were dispatched to the 300 block of Herring Court to investigate a shooting on October 29. At the scene, officers found a 38-year-old man who had been shot in the buttocks. Medics transported to victim to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury, according to the report.

Damien SmithThrough investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect as Damien Smith, 31, of the 3600 block of Fords Lane. He was arrested Saturday in the 900 block of North Hill Road without incident.

Upon arrest, Smith requested an attorney and taken to Central Booking, where he is being held on a no-bond status for first-degree attempted murder.
