Baltimore Police Identify Suspect In Eastern District Homicide


Baltimore Police identified the suspect involved in a double stabbing in the Eastern District.

Around 3:15 p.m. Monday, police were called to the 1400 block of East Oliver Street for a stabbing. At the scene, the responding officers located a 25-year-old man who had suffered a stab wound to the stomach. The man was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. He was later identified as Juwan Gladney of the 2800 block of Presstman Street.

Accident Scene

The second victim, a 51-year-old man, suffered a stab wound to his chest. He was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in serious, but stable condition, police said.

Detectives said a domestic dispute escalated into a violent stabbing.

The suspect was also present at the scene. Police obtained an arrest warrant for Dante Gladney, 43, of the 1400 block of East Oliver Street. Gladney was transported to Central Booking and charged with first- and second-degree murder.
