Baltimore Police Identify Driver Of Early Morning Fatal Collision


Baltimore Police said a man was seriously injured in a fatal collision in the 3900 block of Sinclair Lane Tuesday morning.

Approximately 1:55 a.m., police responded to a collision in the 3900 block of Sinclair Lane. At the scene, the responding officers discovered a vehicle lying on its side. The preliminary investigation determined that the driver was traveling southbound, when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle slid and struck a pole. The driver was partially ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.


The driver was later identified as Tyequan Gunthrop, 18, of the 3600 block of Kenyon Avenue.

Police said Gunthrop was operating the vehicle without a valid license and was not wearing a seatbelt.
