Baltimore Police Arrest Suspect Connected To Death Of Man Found In Alley


Baltimore Police announce arrest in connection with man found in an alley in the 1000 block of Brentwood Avenue.

Police discovered George Yurek, 52, beaten on September 4 with extensive head trauma. Before Yurek died he told officers that an unknown male had beaten him.

Eric JonesWith the help of some Baltimore residents, police were able to identify the suspect and obtain an arrest warrant. The suspect, Eric Jones, 52, of the unit block of North Gilmore Street was apprehended on September 23. Jones was arrested in the 900 block of North Eutaw Street without incident, according to the news release.

Jones was charged with first-degree assault and failing to register as a sex offender.
