Approximately 11 p.m. Friday, Baltimore Police responded to an area hospital to investigate a report of an injured child. At the hospital, officers located a two-month-old baby with multiple injuries to the body. A short time later, the infant was pronounced deceased.
The infant’s body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy. It was later determined that the cause of death was blunt force trauma. On May 12, investigators ruled the infant’s death a homicide and the mother, 35-year-old Tiffany Nutter of the unit block of Skipjack Court, was arrested.
The infant was later identified as Jawuan Pinkeny.
Nutter has been charged with neglect of a minor and first- and second-degree child abuse.
