Baltimore County Police Need Help Identifying Vehicle Involved In Hit-And-Run In Essex


Baltimore County Police are investigating an early morning hit-and-run that claimed the life of a 23-year-old man.

Around 12:48 a.m. Monday, police responded to a report of a hit-and-run on Stemmers Run Road. At the scene, the responding officers located a crime scene and immediately initiated an investigation.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Stemmers Run Road. As the vehicle crossed through the intersection at Eastern Boulevard it struck a man who was walking with his mother. The vehicle fled eastbound on Eastern Boulevard, police said.

The victim was later identified as Kyle Emmanuel Marshall, 23, of the 1500 block of Doolittle Road in Essex. Marshall was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle in question has been identified as a purple Hyundai Elantra with front driver side damage and broken headlamp. Police said the vehicle could possibly have damage to the windshield and front grill area.
