Baltimore County Police Identify Victims In Separate House Fires


Baltimore County Police and fire officials identify victims of two separate house fires that occurred within days of each other.

Approximately 5 p.m. November 1, police and fire officials responded to the 6600 block of Dalton Drive to investigate a reported house fire. At the scene, the officials observed a residence occupied by three adults was on fire.

Seventy-seven-year-old Lucy Jean Thomas was transported to Sinai Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Monday. Thomas’ boyfriend who escaped from the home was transported to Sinai Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. Thomas’ 57-year-old son escaped the home through a second-story bedroom window. He was taken to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries, according to the report.

About 3 a.m. November 4, firefighters were dispatched to the unit block of Francine Court to investigate a carbon monoxide alarm. At the scene, firefighters observed smoke coming from the residence that was occupied by an adult female.

The woman was transported to Northwest Hospital and later transferred to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased on Tuesday. She has been identified as 93-year-old Pearline Knox Felder.
