Baltimore County Police Identify Victim In White Marsh Fatal Collision


At approximately 2 p.m. Friday, Baltimore County Police were dispatched to Silver Spring Road in White Marsh to investigate a collision. At the scene, officers located multiple vehicles with body damage.

ArrestPreliminary investigation revealed a 2001 Lexus ES300 was traveling southbound on Honeygo Boulevard, when it struck a 2010 Jeep Commander that was in the intersection with Silver Spring Road.

The Jeep was forced into a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox that was traveling eastbound on Silver Spring Road.

Medics transported the two occupants of Lexus to an area hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries. The driver of the Lexus was pronounced deceased at the hospital at approximately 3 p.m.

The driver of the Lexus has been identified as 72-year-old James Minsurk Kim of the 9200 block of Peach Blossom Avenue.

The four occupants of the Jeep were treated for non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
