Baltimore County Police Identify Victim In Owings Mills Collision


Baltimore County Police worked a multiple-vehicle collision Thursday in Owings Mills that claimed the life of a 54-year-old man.

Approximately 5 p.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to Painters Mill Road at Grand Central Avenue to investigate a multi-vehicle collision. At the scene, officers observed two vehicles with serious body damage.

ArrestThe preliminary investigation revealed a 2003 Ford Taurus struck a concrete median, while traveling southbound on Painters Mill Road. After hitting the median, the Ford continued until it crashed into a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am, which was traveling on Grand Central Avenue.

Medics transported the driver of the Grand Am to the local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver has been identified as 54-year-old Charles Layne Taylor of the unit block of Byers Court in Randallstown.

The investigation is ongoing.
