Baltimore County Police Identify Suspect In Essex Shooting


A Baltimore County Police officer was driving along Foxchase Lane, when two women flagged him down. They told the officer they were on Sandalwood Road, when they heard gunshots. They fled the area and saw a male suspect running out from Punjab Drive, while shooting at their vehicle.

Alexander Morgan FrancisThe 30-year-old woman and 24-year-old woman were not injured in the shooting and no damage was found on their vehicle, according to the report.

A K9 unit dispatched to the scene tracked the suspect to a nearby alley. The suspect identified as 29-year-year-old Alexander Morgan Francis of the 1000 block of Foxridge Lane in Essex was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and several weapons violations.

Francis is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail.

Officer discovered multiple bullet holes in a building in the 900 block of Punjab Drive.
