Baltimore County Police Identify Man Who Jumped Onto A School Bus In Parkville.


Baltimore County Police said a man was arrested after he hung onto a moving school bus Parkville.

Approximately 3:15 p.m., a 68-year-old man approached a school bus filled with students from a Loch Raven school. Police said the man claimed one of the students inside the bus threw a bottle and struck his vehicle. The man clung to the side of the bus, in an attempt to stop it, according to the release.


Police were dispatched to scene and arrested the man who was later identified as Laverne Doran. The preliminary investigation revealed Doran had tried to get the driver to open the door of the school bus, but he refused. He then jumped onto the bus, while the driver drove toward the Parkville police precinct.

Laverne was charged with obstructing a school bus driver and disorderly conduct.
