Baltimore County Police Identify Dulaney Valley Road Collision Victim As Street Sweeper


Baltimore County, Maryland – The driver of an Artscape Land Maintenance, Inc street sweeping work truck was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Dulaney Valley Road early this morning.

Police were called to the scene north of Chapelwood Lane around 3:29 a.m. after the driver unexpectedly crossed the oncoming traffic lane and struck a mailbox and guardrail, causing the truck to overturn. The truck skidded into a BGE pole where it finally came to rest. The driver, Charles David Myers Jr (50) of the 200 block of Spencer Circle in Forest Hill, was working at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate to determine the cause of the crash. Cause and manner of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner following an autopsy.
