Baltimore County Man Pleads Guilty To Producing Child Porn After Enticing Children To Send Him Explicit Videos

This week, it was announced that 33-year-old Keith Edward Taylor of Kingsville, Maryland had pleaded guilty to production of child pornography. According to the defendant’s plea agreement, he used an instant-messaging application to communicate with minors throughout the United States and internationally in 2017. Taylor admitted to engaging in sexually explicit conversations with at least five minor victims ranging in age from 12 to 15.

The victims resided in various states, including Iowa, Michigan, Colorado, Texas and Massachusetts. In some of the conversations, the defendant portrayed himself as a woman. He repeatedly requested that the boys send him explicit photos and videos of themselves. Taylor sent some of the victims explicit photos of women whom he pretended to be.

Taylor also admitted to using the messaging app to distribute and trade the child pornography with other adults. During December of 2017, Taylor traded child porn with a user who sent him a live photo of a child. The user claimed that the child was his own stepchild. Taylor will now be required to register as a sex offender. He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 30, 2018. At that time, the defendant will face a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum sentence of 30 years.
