Baltimore County Apartment Fire Kills Mother, Two Children


Baltimore County Fire Department said a mother and her two children died in an early morning apartment fire.

Around 4:34 a.m. Sunday, fire officials responded to an apartment fire in Hillendale. When responders arrived on scene, fire was showing from the third floor of the building. Fire crews entered the building and discovered three victims who were unresponsive.

One of the victims was taken to the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, while the other two were taken to University of Maryland St. Joseph. All three victims died a short time later.

Fire officials identified the victims as 26-year-old Bra Angah-McCray, 4-year-old Aimee McCray and 3-year-old Adriel McCray.

Fire officials believe the fire was accidental and started in the kitchen of the apartment, where the victims resided

By 5:47 a.m., fire crews had the fire under control.
