Arizona Couple Gets 6-Month Incarceration For Mail Fraud


Acting U.S. Attorney Soo C. Song announced Monday two Arizona residents were sentenced to six months in prison for mail fraud related to reshipping of controlled drugs.

Forty-five-year-old Miguel Cruz and 44-year-old Sylvia Cruz of Queen Creek, Arizona received and reshipped erectile dysfunction drugs and Schedule II and IV controlled substances from India to consumers in the United States, according to court documents.

PrisonConsumers would order the drugs through a Costa Rican website.

In addition to the six-month prison term, the Sylvia Cruz received six months on home detention. Manual Cruz received a sentence of time served.
