Anne Arundel County Police Execute Search, Recover 6K Fentanyl Pills


Anne Arundel County Police say they executive a search warrant in the 2600 block of Carver Road in Gambrills, recovering more than 6,000 fentanyl pills.

Approximately 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, Anne Arundel County Heroin Task Force executed a search warrant as part of a narcotics trafficking investigation. The officers recovered 6,296 fentanyl pills that were decoyed as oxycodone pills. The fentanyl pills have a street value of $62,920, according to the release.

The officers also recovered concealment devices, computer equipment and $8,578 in cash. The suspect identified as 23-year-old Robert Simpson of the 2600 block of Carver Road in Gambrills. Simpson was charged with possession of CDS not marijuana and PWID fentanyl.
